Michael J. Pitzer
Michael J. Pitzer received his B.S. in Commerce and Finance from Saint Louis University in 1970 and his J.D. in 1973 from Saint Louis University. He was a member of Phi Delta Phi. He specializes in civil litigation and has tried cases in Missouri and throughout Illinois. Mike was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1973. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, The Lawyers Association of St. Louis, and the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers. He is a recipient of The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis Foundation Award recognizing service to the community and profession. Mike has been a member of the Illinois Bar since 1976. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for both the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois, and the United States District Court for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Bar Association of the Central and Southern Federal Districts of Illinois, Madison County Bar Association, the St. Clair County Bar Association, and the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. He heads the Illinois litigation practice of Rabbitt, Pitzer & Snodgrass, P.C. Mike has practiced civil litigation exclusively for the last 35 years. His areas of practice include products liability, medical malpractice, transportation litigation, first party claims, and general liability, including the defense of catastrophic injury claims. He is also a member of the American Trucking Association Litigation Section and the Trucking Industry Defense Association. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mike has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell.
