Donald L. O'Keefe graduated summa cum laude with a BA. from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, in 1988 and received his J.D. in 1991 from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Don was admitted to the Bar in Missouri in 1991 and the Bar in Illinois in 1992. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He regularly argues before the Appellate Courts in both Missouri and Illinois.

Don is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), a member of Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), The Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, and American Bar Association.

Don also worked as the city attorney/city prosecutor for a local municipality from 1997 - 1999. He participated in the International Association of Defense Counsel's Trial Academy in Boulder, Colorado in 1994.

Don was recently recognized in the Missouri Lawyers Weekly as having the top defense verdict for 2007 in the personal injury/trucking category.
