Barbara A. Micheels

Barbara A. Micheels graduated in the top 11 percent of her class and received her J.D., cum laude, from Saint Louis University in 1998. In addition to being a member of the International Law Society, she was a member of the Saint Louis University Law Review and was awarded the Outstanding Student Article of the Year in 1997 for her article, "Is Justice Served? The Development of Tort Litigation Against the Passive Parent in Incest Cases." She received her B.S. in Education and Music from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1972.

After being admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1998, for the next six years Barbara served as a career law clerk for the Honorable Harlington Wood, Jr., researching and drafting opinions, orders, and memoranda addressing both civil and criminal issues for the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She also worked with Judge Wood when he sat by designation in the United States Courts of Appeal for the Third, Fifth, Eighth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits.
